Game Recommendation: Settlers of Catan

When we moved to Prague some friends of ours introduced us to the game Settlers of Catan. It’s a German board game where you have to build settlements and roads and cities and get a certain number of points before the rest of the players. It’s all about strategy and economics and of course there’s a good deal of luck and chance thrown in the mix. On Tuesday we played with our friends, David and Sarah, and I won for the first time ever. I was so excited. Anyway, I’m not that competitive and I don’t often win games (except hand and foot which I have a decent history of winning at) so yeah, it was exciting for me to win and I wanted to commemorate my victory on the blog! Yes, I know it’s silly, but it’s fun too. J Sarah also gets a shout out since she won the second game of the evening! Hooray for the ladies! J Anyway, if you’ve never played Settlers of Catan I recommend it as a fun and enjoyable group activity which you should definitely check out.
