Laura, thanks for the great comment. I can totally relate to you - I also struggle with housekeeping so much! A diaper service is a great suggestion!

I use cloth diapers with our daughter and love them. I believe they are part of the reason she has never had a diaper rash - the cloth is less likely to cause one and she is changed more frequently.

We use sized diapers with a cover, and I completely agree about the importance of ensuring that all bits of the diaper are inside the cover.

We've used wool covers as well as the more waterproof-treated ones. The wool is great because of the breathability, but I tend to fall back on the ease of the treated covers.

I struggle with housekeeping at the best of times, and adding a baby to our lives didn't exactly make for a picture perfect home. I was really nervous about adding the laundry of cloth diapers to our lives. Luckily, we have a diaper service in our area. They pick up the bag of dirty diapers every week and leave me with a bag of clean ones. I don't have to do anything with/to the diapers and I've always been impressed with the absolute cleanliness of the diapers that arrive.

If someone are considering cloth, but are seriously put off by the work involved, I highly recommend looking into a diaper service.
