Organizing this auction to raise money for a wheelchair accessible van for Sage feels like a worthy challenge. It’s something I’ve never done before and I’m not sure how it will go, so of course there’s some fear, but also so much hope. You all have responded with such resounding enthusiasm, making me hopeful for what’s to come.
So, here’s how you can help make this auction a success for Sage:

Eeeek! Every once in a blue moon an idea comes together so smoothly and perfectly that it makes you squeal with delight. That is this idea.
Last week, after I had a melt down about not having a way to get Sage’s power chair to and from school (which you can read about here), I thought, “What if we do an auction to raise money for Sage’s wheelchair accessible van? We know a lot of amazing people doing pretty cool things, maybe we could get people to donate towards an auction for Sage…”
As we got closer to school starting, I could feel my nervousness ramping up. I love Sage’s school. They have been absolutely incredible with her and she loves it there, but after her hip surgery just getting out of the house has been challenging.
When I mentioned some of my anxiety to the PT Sage is seeing at Phoenix Children’s she suggested we increase PT to twice a week (well three times a week if you count her normal home based PT as well). I knew doing this would improve Sage’s mobility, ease her pain, and help her feel more comfortable even during the long day at school.
