Organizing this auction to raise money for a wheelchair accessible van for Sage feels like a worthy challenge. It’s something I’ve never done before and I’m not sure how it will go, so of course there’s some fear, but also so much hope. You all have responded with such resounding enthusiasm, making me hopeful for what’s to come.

So, here’s how you can help make this auction a success for Sage:

Aug 13, 2019

Eeeek! Every once in a blue moon an idea comes together so smoothly and perfectly that it makes you squeal with delight. That is this idea.

Last week, after I had a melt down about not having a way to get Sage’s power chair to and from school (which you can read about here), I thought, “What if we do an auction to raise money for Sage’s wheelchair accessible van? I’d love to connect with you there.

Day 83 of #imitatelikeawriter for #the100dayproject

Day 82 #imitatelikeawriter for #the100dayproject

I tried to keep pretty close to the original here. Tried to imitate Butler’s clean, crisp voice and certain tone. But also tried to infuse this with a little of myself too☺️✍️

Still thinking about characterization ☺️✍️
Day 80 of #imitatelikeawriter for #the100dayproject

I’m still working on direct characterization 😊 So here’s a little piece in emulation of Dickens’ use of simile in direct characterization ✍️

JOIN OUR PRAYER TEAM

Cancer is hard. Over the past seven years that my husband has been battling cancer we have found we need the support of people holding us up. If you'd like to be part of the incredible group of people who pray for us, you can sign up below. We would be so grateful. We send out prayer requests and updates as needs arise so sometimes you might get regular emails from us and other times you might not hear from us at all (silence is usually a good thing!).
