Movie: Lars and the Real Girl

Last night Bryan and I watched the movie Lars and The Real Girl. I Loved this movie. I thought it was creative and funny, but also very touching – I cried quite a bit. It was a beautiful picture of brokenness and the healing that can come when a community of people chooses to unconditionally accept and love someone just as they are. And a beautiful picture of the healing that can come when a community of people allows someone the space and time they need to work through hurt and pain in their own unique way. If you haven’t seen this movie yet I highly recommend it. If you have seen it already, I’d love to hear how you liked it and what (if anything) it stirred in you.
